Oilers say “bye bye” to AGM, Brad Holland

The Edmonton Oilers and Assistant General Manager Brad Holland have mutually agreed to part ways, the team announced on Monday. The decision allows Holland to “pursue other opportunities,” according to a statement from the Oilers.

Holland, who joined the Oilers as a scout in 2019, was promoted to assistant general manager and director of professional scouting prior to the 2022-23 season. Before his tenure with the Oilers, he began his NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs as a team manager in 2015.

Brad Holland is the son of Ken Holland, the former general manager of the Oilers. Ken Holland’s contract was not extended following the 2023-24 season. In July, the Oilers hired Stan Bowman to replace Ken Holland as general manager, marking a significant shift in the team’s front office.
