Four youth arrested in connection with stabbing incident near Long Island Lake

Four youths have been arrested and charged in connection with an incident earlier this month in which a woman was found beaten, stabbed, and left for dead near Long Island Lake.

On September 7, the woman emerged from the side of the road covered in blood, alleging she had been stabbed and left in a ditch. Alberta RCMP have since reported that the youths are facing numerous charges, including attempted murder, robbery, threats to cause death, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, and failure to comply with release orders.

The suspects were scheduled to appear in court yesterday but were remanded into custody instead.

In accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, their identities cannot be released. The investigation is ongoing.
