Crash closes westbound Highway 16, 60 km west of Edson

A crash has closed westbound Highway 16 west of Edson this morning.

According to RCMP, a semi and a car collided at Range Road 224A, near the unincorporated community of Obed, approximately 60 kilometres west of Edson.

There is no detour available, and police advise commuters to take an alternate route or expect significant delays. Efforts are underway to split the eastbound lanes to allow for two-way traffic.

No information about those involved or the details of the incident has been released.
