Honda issues a 2nd major recall in October

Honda is recalling more than 700,000 vehicles due to a potential issue with the high-pressure fuel pump that may crack and leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire.

This marks the second major recall from Honda this month. Earlier, over 1.7 million vehicles were recalled due to possible steering issues.

The current recall affects the 2023-2024 Accord and Accord Hybrid, the 2025 Civic and Civic Hybrid, and the 2023-2025 CR-V Hybrid.

According to Honda, there have been 145 warranty claims related to this issue, but no reports of injuries or deaths from February 2023 to September 2024.

Dealers will inspect and replace the high-pressure fuel pump as needed, at no cost to owners. Notification letters are expected to be mailed out on December 4. Owners can also contact Honda customer service for more information.
