Wetaskiwin murder suspect wanted for assaulting police officer

A Wetaskiwin murder suspect that is out on bail is wanted after she allegedly assaulted a police officer while resisting arrest. She then fled the scene.

according to Wetaskiwin RCMP, Talsa Ashlee Cardinal, 31, was last seen by officers on Saturday, October 19 while she was breaching her release order. When police attempted to arrest her, she allegedly assaulted them and fled.

On March 29 of this year, she was released with a 24-hour curfew on a release order for first-degree murder. She is now wanted for assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and failing to comply with a release order.

Cardinal is described as five-foot-eight, weighing 145 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

Wetaskiwin RCMP is asking anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact them at 80-312-7267 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
