18-year-old woman killed in collision with a Jeep

Edmonton police are investigating a tragic incident that occurred just after midnight yesterday, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old woman. The collision took place around 12:30 AM at the intersection of 107 Avenue and 130 Street.

According to police reports, the woman was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a Jeep traveling east on 107 Avenue. Emergency services responded to the scene, but unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead at the site of the collision.

The driver of the Jeep, a 34-year-old woman, remained at the scene and has since been charged with refusal after an accident causing death and impaired operation causing death.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. This incident underscores the importance of road safety and the need for vigilance, especially at intersections.
