Haribo gummies being recalled due to pieces of wood

A recall has been issued for several types of gummy candies due to the presence of wood pieces. Last week, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced the recall of Haribo brand gummies labeled “Tangfastics.”

The agency has indicated a moderate risk associated with consuming these candies, which may lead to short-term or non-life-threatening health issues. The recall specifically affects 175-gram packages with a best-before date of June 25, 2025 and the Universal Product Code is listed as 0120035930608

Customers are strongly advised not to consume the affected candies and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. This recall serves as a reminder for consumers to remain vigilant about product safety and to check for any recalls on food items.
