One of India’s ‘most wanted’ terrorist arrested and charged in Canada

One of india’s most wanted terrorists has been arrested and charged in connection with a recent alleged shooting in Ontario.

Arshdeep Singh Gill is known on the streets of India by the name “Arsh Dalla”

Dalla has lived in Canada for several years and according to the Indian media, He is a known associate of a Sikh separatist who was part of a Khalistan movement which calls for an independent Sikh state, Hardeep Nijjar. Dalla was added to India’s most wanted list after being accused of killings in India while being in Canada. He claimed responsibility for multiple murders, including a targeted hit on a local politician in Punjab.

Back in October, Halton, Ontario police said in a news release that two men involved in a shooting In Milton, had been charged with discharging firearm with intent. One of the was shot and they arrived at the hospital. The press release did not state their names, but CTV conducted an investigation that uncovered that Dalla was one of the two that were charged.

He has been in custody here in Canada as he waits on a decision about his request for bail.
