School support staff have provided strike notice

A 72 hour strike notice has been issued from Edmonton school support staff. As early as Monday, over 3000 members of staff may walk out of schools in and around Edmonton. Last October, the Alberta government offered a wage increase of 2.75% which stalled the strike but was ultimately rejected. Last month, the same wage increase of 2.75% was proposed but the union rejected it again.
