A senseless and tragic incident occurred yesterday morning in the Mill Woods area of Edmonton. A 13-year-old cyclist was travelling in the eastbound lanes of 34th Avenue near Mill Woods Road when he was struck by a vehicle that immediately fled the scene. The boy did not survive.

On May 14 2024, after the public became aware of the arrest of Amit Mali for Sexual Assault in Sherwood Park, an additional adult female victim came forward disclosing to Strathcona County RCMP that she was also a victim of sexual assault by Mali.
Fort Saskatchewan RCMP have received a report of a robbery that occurred on May 22, 2024 during a Facebook Marketplace sale. The victim was attempting to sell an iPhone and arranged to meet the “buyer.” When the victim approached the buyer, a second suspect sprayed the victim with “a mace type substance” and both suspects attempted to take the phone.
Corey Perry returned to the lineup for the first time since Game 5 of the Vancouver series and made a big impact last night for the Edmonton Oilers as they beat the Dallas Stars 5-2. An exciting morning in Fort Saskatchewan as a bear was spotted in a tree near the Boys and Girls Club Fort Saskatchewan on 93 Avenue near Highway 15/Veterans Way just after 9:00am. Alberta Fish & Wildlife was able to safely capture the carnivorian mammal and return it to “a more suitable habitat.”
