Strathcona County RCMP arrest man on fraud charges

A man is facing fraud charges after trying to falsely purchase a vehicle for a large sum of money. 

Strathcona County RCMP say that 33-year-old Kodi Boynton, a resident of Lloydminster, was caught attempting to fraudulently purchase an Audi RS Q8 for $150,000. 

As a result, Boynton is now facing the following charges: 

  • Fraud over $5000
  • Utter forged documents (x2) 
  • False pretences

Boynton has been released from custody and will appear in a provincial court on September 20.
