Morinville has a new store – a Shoppers Drug Mart.
In a post made to a Morinville community group on Facebook, an image of the new store is shown with construction materials lying in front of the shop.
This is the first drug mart of its kind in Morinville, with the location previously being a Guardian Pharmacy.
The Facebook post announcing the change was quite popular with the community, garnering over 200 likes and almost 90 comments where residents voiced their concerns, questions, and support.
“Right on, that’s an upgrade,” commented one resident. “A win is a win. Way to go, Morinville!”
Those who had prescriptions from Guardian will have them moved over to Shoppers, so residents can still get their medicine on time.
The new store is located on 100 Street next to the fire hall.
