Woman remains in critical condition after Edmonton hit-and-run

A 24-year-old woman remains in critical condition after being involved in a hit-and-run collision in Edmonton late last month.

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) says that, on the evening of August 31, officers responded to the area of 96 Street and 115 Avenue. It was reported that a woman was skateboarding north along the street and crossing the avenue when she was hit by a vehicle travelling east.

The vehicle did not stop and instead fled the scene.

The woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EMS where she currently remains in critical but stable condition.

EPS believes that the suspect vehicle is a dark grey pickup truck or SUV. The driver has not been identified.

Police are asking anyone in the area during the time of the incident to check if they have either surveillance or dash-cam footage of the collision.

Those with information are asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
