Leduc RCMP have seized a series of weapons and drugs following a report of suspicious activity late last month.
According to police, they responded to reports of a person removing licence plates on Sparrow Drive in the middle of the night on August 31.
Officers tracked down a suspect vehicle and discovered that the licence plate was stolen off a vehicle in Edmonton. Because of this, the three people in the suspect vehicle were arrested.
A search of the vehicle resulted in police seizing 28 grams of cocaine, bear spray, an extendable baton, and several types of ammunition.
Following this search, Leduc RCMP also executed a search warrant at a nearby hotel, which lead to police finding an SKS rifle and two shotguns.
Allen Manning, a 21-year-old resident of Warburg, has been charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 X2
- Careless use of firearm X3
- Unauthorized possession of firearm
- Tampering with serial number on firearm X2
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
- Fail to comply with release order condition X2
Kesha O’reilly, a 19-year-old from Warburg, was charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 X2
- Careless use of firearm X3
- Unauthorized possession of firearm
- Tampering with serial number on firearm X2
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
Robert Francis, 38, from Edmonton, is facing charges of:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a controlled substance – Cocaine
- Fail to comply with release order condition
All three have been placed in custody following their court appearances later this month.
