EPS looking for suspect in sexual assault on 11-year-old girl

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) are looking for the suspect involved in the sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl.

The assault happened on September 19 in the area of 43 Street and 33 Street between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Police say that the girl was walking home in the Fountain Lake neighbourhood when she was pulled into a van by an unknown man and sexually assaulted. After the assault, the man pushed the girl out of the vehicle and fled the scene.

The victim is currently receiving support from the Zebra Child Protection Centre.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male 
  • Between 25 and 35 years of age.
  • Tanned complexion.
  • 5 foot 9 inches tall.
  • Dark, prickly hair.
  • Soul patch.
  • Wearing black shirt, dark grey pants, and white sneakers.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white van with barn style doors and tinted windows.

Police are asking residents in the Fountain Lake/Larkspur area to check their video cameras for possible images of the suspect vehicle on the day of the attack.
