EPS: 69-year-old man’s death a homicide

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) are investigating the suspicious death of a man earlier this month.

On September 1, police responded to a call after Edmonton Fire Rescue Services located 69-year-old Fred Kolybaba inside a residence near 132 Street and 133 Avenue.

An autopsy was conducted by the Edmonton Medical Examiner. Although the cause of manner of his death are not being released, his death has been ruled a homicide.

Police are continuing to look for any information regarding the death of Kolybaba, especially those who had contact with him in the days leading up to his death.
