13-year-old victim of hit and run in Fort Saskatchewan

Fort Saskatchewan RCMP are looking for the driver who hit a 13-year-old on September 15.

The teenager was on a scooter crossing the street at the intersection of 94 Avenue and 84 Street when a woman driving a black Ford Escape pulled up to the intersection turning southbound.

As the SUV turned, it struck the back of the boy’s scooter, sending the child over the handlebars and onto the curb.

Police say that the boy sustained minor injuries from the crash, and that the Ford Escape fled the scene.

Officers are currently looking for the driver of the Ford Escape and are asking anyone with information or footage of the crash to contact the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP detachment at 780-997-7900.
