Suspicious Edmonton death declared homicide

Edmonton Police have declared a suspicious death a homicide.

On the morning of October 11, police responded to a weapons complaint at an apartment near 106 Street and 80 Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man with serious, life-threatening injuries.

EMS attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

An autopsy done two days later revealed the man’s identity as 32-year-old Jordan Macdonald, with the cause of death being a gunshot wound.

This has led police to declare the death as a homicide, with Edmonton police’s Homicide Section investigating.
