GoFundMe set up to raise funeral costs for Fort Saskatchewan man

A GoFundMe has been set up to help raise money for the family of a Fort Saskatchewan man who passed away in a car accident earlier this month.

On the early morning of October 15, Jarren DiRocco was involved in a car accident that took his life.

“Jarren was not just a dedicated father, but a pillar of our community, spreading joy through his music and his love for life,” wrote Kendra Danyluk, a friend of DiRocco. “He had an unparalleled passion for music, and his DJing talents brought happiness to countless people, making every event he played at a memorable experience.”

DiRocco was known in the community as an exceptional DJ and car enthusiast, leaving behind his six-year-old daughter.

“The cost of laying Jarren to rest is a significant burden on his family and loved ones. We are reaching out to all those who knew and loved Jarren to come together in this difficult time and support his family with the funeral expenses,” added Danyluk. “Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in helping us provide Jarren with a deserving farewell.”

Since the GoFundMe was started three days ago, $2,600 of the $15,000 goal has been raised.

There will be a vigil for DiRocco on Friday (Oct. 20) at Turner Park for friends and family starting at 7 p.m.
