UPDATE: Abducted blind woman found

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) have announced that a woman who was abducted last night has been located.

The abduction happened around 7:25 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 19) near 118 Avenue and 91 Street.

The abducted woman was Cindy Tin, who is blind and nonverbal. An AMBER Alert was sent out warning the public of the abduction.

About half an hour after the AMBER Alert was sent out, Tin was located safe and unharmed just outside of Edmonton’s city limits.

The suspect of the abduction has not been located. Police believe that they fled from the stolen vehicle they abducted Tin in on foot.

Police are continuing to search for the suspect.
