Edmonton police arrest suspects in Amber Alert abduction

Edmonton Police Service have given an update on the Amber Alert that was sent out last week.

According to EPS, two male suspects have been taken into custody in connection to the abduction of a 40-year-old blind woman.

The woman was abducted in a stolen Toyota Sienna van, which was found by police in Fort Saskatchewan less than an hour after the Amber Alert was sent out.

The victim was inside of the vehicle unharmed, and police believed that the two had fled the scene on foot.

Although the suspects have not been named, additional details including their identities will be made publicly available on Friday once their charges have been formally sworn in.
