12-year-old charged in Leduc assault

Another person has been charged in connection to an assault that happened in Leduc.

The assault happened at a parking lot in the area of 50 Street and Corinthia Drive. The victim was taken to hospital but was released and finished their recovery from home.

Initially, police charged four youths, all between the ages of 13 and 16, with the assault.

However, police confirmed on October 24 that they have charged a fifth person in connection to the assault. The suspect is a 12-year-old resident of Leduc.

The youth has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and will be appearing in a Leduc court on November 10.
