Cow returned to owners after running loose through Edmonton

A calf has been returned to its owners after it escaped the Expo Centre on Tuesday.

Police, animal control, fish and wildlife officers, and even a veterinarian were called out to track down the animal as they followed it downtown.

Officers chased the animal for 36 blocks before cornering it in a yard near 106 Street and 113 Avenue.

Videos of the chase were filmed by residents who noticed the peculiar situation. The videos were posted to the YEGWAVE Twitter account.

A spokesperson for the Expo Centre did not give details on how the cow escaped.
