Avalanche in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park kills Squamish, B.C. man, 29.

A 29-year-old man from Squamish, B.C. is dead after being buried in an avalanche at Peter Lougheed Provincial Park on Saturday before 3:15 p.m.

Kananasksis emergency first responders reported to the Mounties that two people were buried. They were able to locate a 26-year-old woman.

However, the man was not located until his body was recovered on Sunday at 10:52 a.m.

The body of the man will be examined in autopsy.
