Mounties investigate homicide in Ponoka, Alta

On Friday, the RCMP discovered the body of a man in his home on 57 Avenue in Ponoka, Alta, South of Edmonton.

“After an initial investigation, RCMP are treating the death as a homicide. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been deployed and has taken over the investigation,” police said in a news release.

Police believe there is no threat to the public and are actively seeking tips.
