Edmonton Police Arrest; Charge Man in Relation to May Fatal Hit and Run Collision

Edmonton Police say 27-year-old Ismail Ali is responsable for a hit and run collision in Edmonton before 2:30 a.m., May 12, that claimed the life of a 62-year-old man.

The victim, police say, was “legally,” crossing Jasper Avenue heading South, near 115 Street. Apparently, Ali was driving Eastbound along Jasper at the time, when police say he struck the man with his vehicle.

Emergency first responders transported the victim to the hospital, where he died.

Ali was charged with “failing to stop after an accident resulting in death,” on Tueday November 28.
