Parkland RCMP investigating dumpster fire, dead body in Spruce Grove

Parkland RCMP are looking for information on a fire that broke out in Spruce Grove on Monday.

Just before 5 a.m., a police officer on his way into work noticed the blaze at a strip mall in the area of Calahoo Drive and McLeod Avenue.

When officers arrived, they also discovered a dead body near the blaze, with officers remaining on scene for several hours conducting an investigation.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

Police are looking for any person who may have seen what happened before the fire. If you have footage or details on the blaze, please get in touch with Parkland RCMP at 825-220-7267.
