Leduc RCMP respond to fatal car crash

Leduc RCMP are investigating a fatal car crash from December 12.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 814 and Township Road 490 between two vehicles. When emergency crews arrived, they tended to one driver, a 64-year-old resident of Wetaskiwin, who died on scene.

The other driver, a 42-year-old resident of Wetaskiwin, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police remained on the scene for several hours to investigate and are now working alongside the RCMP collision reconstructionist to determine the cause of the crash.

The RCMP expressed their condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.
