St. Albert RCMP looking to identify suspect who threatened youth

St Albert RCMP are looking to identify a male suspect who was reported to have uttered threats to a youth.

On December 7, at around 1:35 p.m., the youth was walking southwest along Sir Winston Churchill Drive, just past Cunningham Road, when he was approached by an older man.

“Do you want me to stab you?” The older man asked as he pulled a grey knife and showed it to the youth, who ran away from the suspect.

The youth managed to get home safely and reported that the suspect ran in the opposite direction. Police patrolled the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him.

The suspect is described as:

  • Light skinned
  • Taller
  • Thin build
  • Blonde & brown spiked hair
  • 30-40 years old
  • Black glasses
  • Wearing a grey jacket with a fur lined hood
  • Carrying a plastic bag
  • In possession of a grey knife (possibly a hunting knife)

Police are looking for anyone who may be able to identify the suspect. If anyone has any information on the suspect, they are asked to contact St Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700.
