Man sexually assaulted near Edmonton encampment

Edmonton Police are investigating a sexual assault that happened next to Rowland Road near the encampment at 95 Street.

At around 1:30 a.m. on December 16, a man was walking along the road when he was approached by an unknown male requesting assistance and beckoning the man towards the bushes. Two more men reportedly attacked the victim before forcing him on the ground and sexually assaulting him.

The victim managed to fight off the suspects and flee the area.

While police try to get a detailed description of the suspects, they’re asking anyone with dashcam footage from Rowland Road between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on December 16 to come forward.
