Human remains discovered near Edmonton trailer park

Edmonton police are investigating the recovery of human remains and are looking for the public’s help in getting more information.

The case is being investigated by the Missing Persons Unit and Homicide Section after the remains were discovered northeast of Evergreen Trailer Park, south of Manning Drive.

Police believed that the remains are those of an unreported missing adult female, and officers are currently working alongside a forensic anthropologist to identify her and determine the cause and manner of death.

EPS are currently withholding the exact location of the remains and the date they were recovered.

“We have already spoken to community members regarding suspicious activity in the area,” said staff sergeant Jared Buhler with EPS. “That being said, we are hopeful this news release will assist us in reaching additional residents, landowners or others who may travel in this area and noticed something suspicious or unusual.”

Police are asking anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area over the last year to contact police, or if they know of any missing female family members, friends, or acquaintance who may have been wearing a brown shirt with a “Move 82” logo on the back.

“Our investigation has helped us exclude any missing females reported to police, to date,” added Buhler. “However, if you recognize these items and have a female in your life that you have not heard from for some time, we urge you to reach out to us as soon as possible.”
