Fort Saskatchewan furniture bank looking for sponsors in online auction

The Fort Saskatchewan furniture bank is looking to showcase some local businesses in their annual online auction.

“We’re doing themed baskets because we’re trying to focus on Valentine’s Day. There’s going to be a dog basket as well,” said Barb Larson with the furniture bank. “So we’re looking for stuff like gift cards that we could put with the baskets, just to fill them up a bit more.”

The auction, which runs from January 26 to February 2, will be using all proceeds towards the operating costs of the furniture bank, which provides for people in need.

“We’ve got lots of different things so far, but we’re always looking for more,” added Larson. “Over the next few weeks we’ll be posting sneak peeks of what people can bid on.
