Fort Saskatchewan renting free Winter Activity Kits

The City of Fort Saskatchewan has come up with a way for people to make the most of the season.

The city announced that they’ll be renting out Winter Activity Kits, entirely free of charge, throughout the winter.

There’s the Adventure Kit, made for discovering the snowshoe trails along West River’s Edge. The kit comes with Nordic Ski Trail Maps and a pair of 21 inch showshoes.

The Time To Explore Kit is made for anyone looking to get in touch with nature through Fort Saskatchewan’s River Valley Trails. This kid comes with a pair of trekking poles, shoe spikes, and a map of the river valley trail system.

For the family, there’s the Fun Time Family Kit, which features four toboggans, snow moulds, a scavenger hunt list, a snowball maker, and a pair of Bob skates that fits kids shoe sizes 6-13.

The kits are able to be rented out for up to five days at a time. The rental form must be filled online before being picked up and dropped off at the Dow Centennial Centre.

You can fill out a rental form on the City of Fort Saskatchewan website here.
