Strathcona County RCMP looking for public input on police priorities

Strathcona County RCMP wants residents to help set policing priorities for 2024/2025 by answering a brief survey.

“Each year, Strathcona County RCMP and Enforcement Services establish policing and municipal enforcement priorities to ensure members focus on issues the public identifies as important,” says Tom Sutton, Strathcona County RCMP and Enforcement Services director. “The survey ensures the public has a say in policing and municipal enforcement priorities and department planning.”

Crime trends, stakeholder input, responses to calls for service, and statistics also come into play when allocating resources.

“We work together, to preserve the peace, uphold the law and provide quality service that makes our community a safer, more livable place to call home,” said Sutton.

The survey is available online until February 6 at the Strathcona County website here. Residents can also be notified when results are published by joining County Voice here.
