Strathcona County reveals contest for youth VIP experience

Strathcona County’s youth are invited for a chance to win a behind-the-scenes VIP prize package.

This contest is available for youth between the ages of 14 and 18, with packages that include:

  • Checking out firefighter equipment.
  • A ride along with the RCMP.
  • Getting backstage access to Festival Place Learning about the Strathcona Wilderness Centre.
  • Doing a puck drop at a Sherwood Park Crusaders game.

“Our local youth have a wealth of ideas and energy that can help inform the County’s programming and services,” said Sherri-Dawn Annett, supervisor of public engagement. “By offering these unique prize packages, we are encouraging youth to sign up to have their voices heard and have a say in County decisions.”

The contest is open until January 31 and can be entered on the VIP County Voice website here.

County Voice is a platform that allows residents to share ideas, discuss topics, and give feedback to help shape the future of Strathcona County.
