Nominations open for Strathcona County Awards of Excellence

Strathcona County has announced that nominations are open for the 2024 Strathcona County Awards of Excellence.

These awards are for individuals, organizations, and businesses that contribute to the community and demonstrate outstanding leadership, among other criteria.

“The Awards of Excellence is a chance for us to honor these remarkable individuals, businesses and community groups for their contributions and positive influence on our community.” said Strathcona County mayor Rod Frank. “Each year, I am inspired by their endeavors and significant role in enhancing the quality of life for those living within our County. We are grateful for all our community builders!”

Categories for this years awards include:

  • Agricultural Leadership
  • Arts, Culture, and Heritage
  • Athletic Achievement
  • Community Service
  • Economic Diversification
  • Heroism and Leadership
  • Outstanding Group
  • Services to Seniors
  • Services to Youth

Nominations end on March 25 with this year’s award ceremony taking place at Festival Place on June 20.
