St. Albert hosting free St. Patrick’s Day skate

The City of St. Albert is putting together a special event for St. Patrick’s Day.

On Thursday the city announced through their Twitter page that they’ll be hosting a no-cost skating day on March 17 between 1:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. and Kinex Arena.

“Enjoy quality time with the family and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with no-cost skating,” wrote the city in their Twitter post. “Dress up in green for a little extra luck, and an extra guess at the candy guessing jar!”

Shoes, strollers, skating aids, sticks, and pucks are not permitted.

There are other no cost skating times available throughout the week. On Tuesdays and Thrusdays skating is free between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., and also on Sundays from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m.

There is no registration required for the free St. Patrick’s Day skate. You can read more about the event on the City of St. Albert website.
