Edmonton police looking to locate SUV involved in hit-and-run

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) are looking to locate an SUV that was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run.

On Monday morning police responded to reports of an injury at the intersection of Whyte Avenue and 97 Street. According to reports, a woman and her daughter were crossing Whyte Avenue when the woman was struck by an orange SUV.

Police say that the woman managed to move her child out of the way before she was struck. The SUV fled the scene after the collision, with emergency crews taking the woman to hospital.

Police describe the suspect vehicle as a 2011 or 2012 orange Dodge Journey with front-end damage due to the collision, including a missing fog light and front quarter panel.

EPS are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have footage of the incident to get in touch by calling 780-423-4567.
