Edmonton police locate vehicle involved in hit-and-run

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) have located the vehicle that was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run on Monday.

Police located the vehicle on Tuesday evening, just hours after a photo of the vehicle model were given to the public.

However, police have confirmed that the driver of the suspect vehicle has not been located, with police still working to identify them.

The hit-and-run involved a woman being struck by the vehicle while crossing Whyte Avenue. According to police reports, the woman had a 6-year-old child with her.

The woman was taken to hospital with seriousl but non-life threatening injuries, while the child was unharmed, as their mother pushed them out of the way.

Anyone with information on the driver of the SUV is being asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
