St. Albert seeking public input on proposed disc golf locations

The City of St. Albert is looking for public feedback on three proposed disc golf locations.

“Our ultimate goal is to provide options for a beginner-level disc golf course while ensuring the public has the opportunity to provide feedback on these locations,” wrote the city on their website. “Your feedback along with considerations of budget, available space, and City policies will help influence decision-making.”

These proposed locations are at Napoleon Park, Deerbourne Park, and Langholm Park, with each proposed course featuring 9 holes or less.

There’s also an interactive map which gives residents the opportunity to voice their feedback anonymously, with this feedback being featured on the map.

“I do not support disc golf at this park,” wrote user Happydogdad at the Napoleon Park location. “This is one of a very few off leash parks in St Albert and is well used by many pet owners.”

However, other residents voiced their support of these proposed courses.

“Would rather a disc-golf course than all the dogs off leash,” wrote user homesweethome.

There’s also a survey available until April 4 where residents can send their opinions straight to the county. The survey can be found on the City of St. Albert website.
