Leduc RCMP respond to road rage stabbing

There was a stabbing in Leduc that was caused after a road rage incident, according to local RCMP.

Police were informed of the incident on Wednesday evening, with the incident happening in front of the City Centre mall. Police say that the driver of one vehicle cut off another driver.

Both vehicles ended up pulling into a parking lot on 50 Street before getting into a fight. The fight resulted in one of the drivers, a 42-year-old man, being stabbed.

The victim was dealt serious injuries, with emergency services taking the man to hospital. The suspect remained on the scene and even provided first aid as police arrived.

Leduc RCMP charged the other driver, a 28-year-old man, with assault with a weapon, and aggravated assault.
