Strathcona County Food Bank celebrates 40 years with Gala

The Strathcona County Food Bank is hosting a Nourish Gala over the weekend to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

In just 2023 alone the food bank helped over 17,000 people, with many of them being children. This Gala, held on Saturday at the Community Centre’s Agora, starts at 6:45 p.m.

This event will feature demonstrations from local chefs, some live entertainment, and even some painting activities. Some of these chefs include students from the culinary program at Salisbury Composite High School.

This gala is the first of its kind for the food bank, serving as both a celebration of the food bank, and as an important fundraising event.

Tickets for the event are available on the Strathcona County Food Bank’s website.
