St. Albert issues fire advisory

A fire advisory has been issued by the City of St. Albert.

The advisory was issued on Friday due to dry, windy conditions in the area. Although fires are still allowed, the city is asking residents to take caution to reduce the risk of wildfires.

“A reminder that the discharge of unauthorized pyrotechnics and fireworks is prohibited at all times within the City of St. Albert,” the city wrote on its website. “St. Albert Fire Services is dedicated to saving lives and protecting properties throughout our community.”

There are fire advisories, restrictions, and even bans put in place throughout the area. The only places in the area without any kind of fire advisory is Gibbons and Edmonton.

St. Albert Fire Services will continue to monitor the situation, mentioning that a fire restriction or ban may be issued.

You can see all the advisories, restrictions, and bans in the area by visiting the Alberta Fire Bans website.
