Highway 15 overpass closes down

The Highway 15 pedestrian overpass in Fort Saskatchewan will be closed down for the next few weeks.

This closure is due to repairs, with city contractors beginning their work on Monday. This will restrict access for those crossing the Highway 15 overpass, with the city asking that residents plan alternative routes.

The only way to cross Highway 15 is by crossing the highway at the intersection of Highway 21, or by crossing the bridge on 99 Avenue.

The overpass had previously closed down in 2023 after a vehicle had hit the bottom of the bridge.

The bridge is expected to reopen by the end of the month.
