Edmonton police investigating suspicious death

Police in Edmonton are investigating the death of a man that happened earlier this week.

On Wednesday morning, police responded to reports of an injured man on the sidewalk near Kingsway and 102 Street. When officers arrived they discovered a 34-year-old man with serious injuries.

Paramedics treated the man and took him to hospital, where he later died.

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide section has taken over the investigation, with an autopsy for the man scheduled for May 22.

Police are now looking for more information on the suspicious death, asking anyone who may know something to get in touch by calling 780-423-4567.
