Strathcona County makes first progress report on strategic plan

The 2023 report on progress towards Strathcona County Council’s 2023-2026 strategic plan was presented today at priorities committee.

“The first year of the plan is completed and we are pleased to share some of the excellent work Strathcona County has undertaken towards our goals of economic prosperity, healthy and safe community, responsible development and municipal excellence,” says Mayor Rod Frank.

The report includes over 40 success stories and 50 measures across the strategic priorities. Highlights of how the County moved towards its vision in 2023 include supports for the economy, awards where the County has been recognized and events highlighting regional collaboration, and investment in social supports and infrastructure.

Council’s strategic plan moves Strathcona County forward in its vision of becoming Canada’s most livable community. It guides the County on where time, energy and resources are spent in delivering programs and services; and speaks to what is to be improved.
