Today’s smoke looks pretty similar to yesterday with just a bit of a colder morning due to windy periods
Today we will have a high of 24° at 5 PM and a low of 19° closer to midnight for a cooler night compared to what we have been having.
Edmonton has activated their extreme heat response. The extreme heat response, initially scheduled to conclude on July 23, has been extended to July 26 due to anticipated high temperatures. In addition to that, we are also under an air quality advisory. Wildfire smoke is causing or expected to cause very poor air quality and reduced visibility.
Air quality and visibility due to wildfire smoke can fluctuate over short distances and can vary considerably from hour to hour
Dense smoke will worsen air quality in Northern Alberta in the coming days, with Southern Alberta possibly affected by smoke from British Columbia. Residents in fire-prone areas are advised to prepare a grab-and-go kit in case of evacuations.
