At least four buildings have been destroyed by wildfires in Jasper, but the Fairmont Jasper Lodge has reported that its main lodge and most structures remain intact.
Cooler temperatures and up to 15 millimeters of rain have significantly improved conditions in the area. According to the park service, the recent weather has led to minimal fire activity and is expected to keep fires subdued for the next 72 hours.

Firefighters from Mexico have arrived in Alberta to assist with the ongoing wildfire crisis. A total of 102 Mexican firefighters landed at Edmonton Airport yesterday and are being deployed to High Level and various other locations across the province. They are part of a contingent of 400 international firefighters arriving from around the world, including teams from New Zealand, South Africa, and Australia.

As of today, there are 173 active wildfires burning across Alberta, with 51 classified as out of control.
