E-scooter and bike zones will be expanded in Edmonton on August 14

Edmonton will expand its e-scooter and bike zones beginning August 14, covering a larger area of the city. The new zones will extend southwest to the Henday, north to 137th Avenue and parts of Castle Downs, and east to 50th Street.

In response to the expanded zones, vendors will increase their e-scooter and bike fleets. To help users plan their routes and find parking, maps are available on each vendor’s app and the DiscoveryEG website.

The city has introduced a 24-hour parking time limit on the perimeter of the expanded zones to prevent parking congestion and ensure shared micro-mobility access across Edmonton.

This season, e-scooters and bikes in Edmonton have been used for nearly 100,000 hours, highlighting their growing popularity among residents.
