The reported issues are affecting both online banking and mobile login, with 11 percent of the reports specifically highlighting problems with mobile banking. The outage appears to be widespread, with Down Detector’s heat map showing concentrated reports in major cities across Canada, including Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, the Atlantic region, and the Prairies.
Scotia Bank has not yet provided an estimate for when services will be fully restored. Customers are advised to monitor the bank’s website and social media channels for updates.
